Constitution Hill is the site of the notorious Old Fort Prison Complex, where many of South Africa's leading political activists, including Mahatma Gandhi, Joe Slovo Nelson Mandela, were detained.

Most of the original buildings are preserved and restored for their heritage value and look as they did when this was a working prison.

Soweto (derived from the South Western Townships) - Best known for one of South Africa's landmark political events - the 1976 Soweto Student Uprising, the township is today one of South Africa's most visited destinations.

Soweto has bred world renowned political leaders and entertainment icons such as Mandela, Sisulu Oliver Tambo and Miriam Makeba.
